This is an intermediate workshop to further advance basic skills learned during Metalsmithing 1*. In this workshop students will learn to fabricate a simple prong setting, set a stone within the prongs, then finish their piece. This class is the first step in learning to set stones.
General materials, tools and brass metal will be provided however participants must provide their own stone for setting. An optional materials kit is available HERE for $45 which includes everything needed to make a prong set necklace (stone, gf or ss wire, chain and findings).

*This is NOT a beginner class. Students must have prior soldering experience before taking this class therefore previous enrollment in my Metalsmithing 1 workshop and a tool kit or prior approval is a required prerequisite for this workshop.
